Select bearings by static load capacity
source:未知 time:2024-07-17 09:57nbsp; click:
Bearing selection is a must for motor designers. Proper bearing selection can effectively guarantee motor performance. Otherwise, the motor can only grow through continuous failures. Well-known bearing manufacturers will work hard on the promotion of bearings to help bearing users customize the most suitable bearings. Ms. has read the bearing samples of different manufacturers. Each manufacturer has its own advantages. Now she has summarized the content information of selecting bearings by static load capacity and shared it with you.
When to select bearings by rated load
In some cases, the size of the bearing should be selected by rated static load (defined as C0 for ease of description) rather than calculating the bearing life.
● Under continuous or intermittent impact loads, the bearing is stationary.
● Under load, the bearing only makes slow reciprocating or regulating movements.
● Under load, the bearing speed is very low (less than 10 revolutions per minute) and only requires a short life. In particular, in this case, for a given equivalent load P, the life formula will result in a very low required basic rated dynamic load C, so the selected bearing may be seriously overloaded in actual work.
● In addition to the normal working load, it must also withstand heavy impact loads, and the bearing is rotating.
In all the above cases, the load that the bearing can withstand does not depend on the fatigue of the material, but on the degree of permanent deformation caused by the load on the raceway.
Loads acting on stationary or slowly reciprocating bearings, as well as impact loads acting on rotating bearings, may cause parts of the rolling elements to be flattened and form indentations on the raceway. The indentations may be irregularly distributed on the raceway, or evenly distributed at a distance corresponding to the distance between the rolling elements. If the load acts on the bearing, after the bearing rotates a certain number of times, the deformation will be evenly distributed on the entire raceway and cause the bearing to be permanently deformed, which may cause adverse consequences such as vibration and noise in the bearing, and may also cause the bearing clearance to increase, or affect the fit with the shaft or bearing chamber.
Special requirements for bearings with static load capacity
The previous section of this article talked about changes in bearings. The degree of damage to bearing performance depends on the requirements for bearings in specific applications. If the motor has certain requirements for the following conditions, then when selecting bearings, it is necessary to ensure that the bearings have a sufficiently high static load capacity to ensure that they will not deform permanently or only slightly deform to prevent the motor performance from not meeting the requirements.
●Higher reliability requirements for motors.
●Low noise requirements (customer noise limit requirements for motors in specific environments).
●Low vibration requirements (such as machine tools and motors with particularly high precision).
●Constant bearing friction torque requirements (such as bearings used in measuring instruments and test equipment).
●Low starting friction requirements under load (such as more common lifting equipment).
