Starting method of three-phase asynchronous motor
source:未知 time:2024-11-22 09:24nbsp; click:
1. Direct starting method
The direct starting method is the simplest and most commonly used starting method. Its principle is to directly connect the three-phase power supply to the three windings of the motor to start the motor. The advantages of the direct starting method are simple structure, low cost, easy operation, and suitable for small and medium-power motors. However, the disadvantages of the direct starting method are also obvious. When the motor starts, it will generate a large starting current, which will cause the grid voltage to decrease and even cause grid failure. In addition, the direct starting method has a large starting impact on the motor and is easy to damage the motor.
2. Star-delta starting method
The star-delta starting method is an improved starting method. Its principle is to reduce the starting current and starting impact by changing the three windings of the motor from star connection to delta connection. The advantages of the star-delta starting method are that the current at startup is small, the impact is small, and the impact on the grid is also small. It is suitable for starting small and medium-sized motors. However, the disadvantages of the star-delta starting method are also obvious. It requires a special circuit controller to achieve it, the cost is high, and the operation is more complicated.
3. Auto-coupling starting method
Auto-coupling starting method is a more advanced starting method. Its principle is to reduce the starting current of the motor through an auto-coupling transformer to achieve the purpose of reducing the starting current and impact. The advantage of the auto-coupling starting method is that the starting current and impact are very small, and the impact on the power grid is also small, which is suitable for the starting of high-power motors. However, the disadvantages of the auto-coupling starting method are also obvious. It requires more complex circuit controllers and auto-coupling transformers to achieve, the cost is high, and the operation is also more complicated.
In summary, there are three starting methods for three asynchronous motors: direct starting method, star-delta starting method and auto-coupling starting method. Different starting methods have different advantages and disadvantages. We need to choose the most suitable starting method according to the actual situation. For small power motors, you can choose the direct starting method; for small and medium power motors, you can choose the star-delta starting method; for high power motors, you can choose the auto-coupling starting method. When choosing a starting method, you also need to consider factors such as grid voltage, equipment load, and ambient temperature to ensure the normal operation of the equipment and the stability of the grid.
