Why can't the motor be started frequently?
source:未知 time:2024-12-19 09:53nbsp; click:
The starting current of the motor is 4 to 7 times the rated current. Such a large starting current will cause the motor to heat up seriously, and the temperature has a great impact on the insulation of the electrical conductor. The reason why continuous starting is not allowed is to prevent the motor dimension from continuing to rise, thereby protecting the insulation of the motor winding. Overheating of the stator winding will affect the service life of the motor at the least, and will immediately burn the motor at the most serious. Therefore, the motor should avoid frequent starting, and a certain time interval should be left between two starts.
The requirements for the number of starts are as follows:
Under normal circumstances, the squirrel cage rotor motor is allowed to start twice in a cold state (the temperature of the iron core is lower than 50℃), with an interval of five minutes, and is allowed to start once in a hot state (the temperature of the iron core is higher than 50℃).
In an emergency, the motor with a starting time of less than three minutes can be started once more than normal.
When the motor is dynamically balanced, the start interval time needs to be treated differently according to the size of the motor. The motor below 200KW should be more than half an hour, the motor of 200-500KW should be more than one hour, and the motor above 500KW should be more than two hours.
