Effect of motor speed change on bearing temperature
source:织梦技术论坛 time:2024-12-17 09:05nbsp; click:
The heating of motor bearings has a certain relationship with the speed of the motor. When selecting motor bearings, engineering and technical personnel will check the maximum and minimum speeds of the motor bearings. The purpose of checking the speed includes considering the contact stress of the bearing rolling elements and raceways, considering the centrifugal force under the speed, considering lubrication and many other factors. Among these considerations, if the selection is inappropriate, the motor bearing may cause heat generation, excessive temperature, etc. It should be noted that when considering the upper and lower speed limits of the motor bearing (maximum speed and minimum speed), it is also necessary to consider the impact on bearing heating when the motor bearing changes speed. The variable speed working conditions mentioned here include starting, stopping, acceleration and deceleration. In actual working conditions, factors include slow speed change and fast speed change, as well as changes in rotational speed direction. Generally, when a motor slowly changes speed in the same direction, the impact on the bearings is not significant. Speed changes that affect motor bearings include.
First, the condition of frequent starting may be the condition of unidirectional speed change and the box of fast speed change.Second, it is the situation of direction change (reciprocating motion).
The reason why the speed change of the above motor bearing affects the bearing heating is mainly due to the influence of speed change on the formation of oil film. We know that a basic condition for the internal lubricating oil or grease of the motor bearing to form the speed is the speed. When the speed changes, sliding friction may occur between the bearing rolling element and the raceway. At the same time, due to the rapid fluctuation of the speed or the change of direction, the internal lubricating film may not be effectively formed, resulting in direct contact between metal and metal, causing heating or wear of the bearing.
In the condition of unidirectional speed change (speed change and frequent starting), if the motor bearing overheats, you can check whether the bearing selection is suitable for this condition. For the speed change, it is recommended to choose a bearing with good cage strength, and try to use a cage with lighter weight and a cage made of soft material. In this way, when the bearing changes speed, the collision between the cage and the bearing rolling element can be reduced, and the additional damage and heating caused by this can be reduced.
