Common faults of explosion-proof motors
source:未知 time:2024-12-05 09:09nbsp; click:
Explosion-proof motors, as the name implies, are motors that can be used in flammable and explosive places because they do not generate electric sparks when running.
Explosion-proof motors are mainly used in coal mines, oil and gas, petrochemical and chemical industries. In addition, they are also widely used in textile, metallurgy, papermaking, transportation, medicine, urban gas, grain and oil processing and other departments. As the main power equipment, explosion-proof motors are usually used in fans, compressors, drive pumps and other transmission machinery.
Common faults of explosion-proof motors:
1. Fault phenomenon: The motor cannot start and there is no sound
Reason: (1) The fuse is blown. (2) The starter trips. (3) There is no power
2. Fault phenomenon: The motor cannot start and there is a buzzing sound.
Reason: (1) One phase of the power line is broken, or one phase of the fuse is blown, or one phase of the motor winding is broken. (2) The air gap between the stator and the rotor is abnormal, causing the stator and the rotor to collide. (3) The bearing is damaged. (4) The driven machine is stuck. (5) The driven machine is stuck. (6) Misoperation during starting.
3. Fault phenomenon: The motor temperature is too high, but the current does not exceed the rated value.
Cause: (1) The ambient temperature is too high. (2) The motor ventilation duct is blocked. (3) There is too much sludge and dust in the motor, which affects the heat dissipation
4. Fault phenomenon: The motor has an explosion sound during operation
Cause: (1) The coil is temporarily grounded. (2) The coil is temporarily short-circuited
5. Fault phenomenon: The motor speed is low after starting
Cause: (1) The power supply voltage is too low. (2) The delta-connected motor is connected in star shape. (3) The stator coil is short-circuited. (4) The short-circuit ring or cage bar of the rotor is broken or welded. (5) The motor is overloaded.
6. Fault phenomenon: The fuse blows when the motor starts.
Cause: (1) The stator coil is connected in reverse. (2) The stator coil is short-circuited or grounded. (3) The bearing is damaged. (4) The drive belt is too tight.
