The difference between explosion-proof marks Exd and Exe
source:未知 time:2024-09-26 09:14nbsp; click:
1. The two have different definitions:
1. Flameproof enclosure "d": an explosion-proof type of electrical equipment, whose enclosure can withstand the explosion of explosive mixtures entering the enclosure through any joint surface or structural gap of the enclosure without being damaged, and will not cause the ignition of an explosive gas environment formed by one or more gases or vapors outside. (Based on the definition of GB3836-2010)
Simply put: a) The enclosure can withstand internal explosion; b) The enclosure cannot explode after the internal explosion. The internal components are ordinary components.
2. Increased safety type "e": an explosion-proof type of electrical equipment, that is, some additional measures are taken for electrical equipment to improve its safety and prevent the possibility of dangerous temperatures, arcs and sparks generated during normal operation or specified abnormal conditions.
Simply put: the possibility of dangerous temperatures, arcs and sparks generated inside the enclosure itself is not generated, but its safety level is improved, such as increasing the protection level. The internal components must be Ex-marked components (explosion-proof components).
2. The shell structures of the two are different:
1. Flameproof type "d" must withstand internal explosion pressure, so it must be designed with a passage for releasing energy (simply speaking, the flange surface), and the average wall thickness of the shell is thicker than that of the increased safety type.
2. The increased safety type "e" has no flange surface because it does not have the possibility of generating dangerous temperatures, arcs and sparks inside.
3. Others:
1. Only flameproof type "d" and intrinsically safe type "i" are divided into ⅡA, ⅡB, and ⅡC; while the increased safety type is not divided into ⅡA, ⅡB, and ⅡC.
2. As a wiring chamber, the flameproof type "d" lead-in device must be a "d" type (flameproof type) lead-in, and its sealing ring is longer than that of the increased safety type. The increased safety type lead-in device only needs to improve its safety level.
3. The flameproof type "d" shell must be subjected to a water pressure test (ⅡB level 1.5MPa/10 seconds water pressure, ⅡC level 2.0MPa/10 seconds water pressure), while the increased safety type does not need it.
4. Flameproof type "d" enclosures must undergo impact tests (impact tests where a test object with a mass of 1 kg falls vertically from a height of 0.7 m), while increased safety enclosures do not undergo impact tests.
